ABOUT THE OWNER

Malcolm
Alexander-Neal.

Author. Founder.
A believer in what words can do.

Detroit-born and based in Mexico City, Malcolm brings an author’s sensitivity and a business-minded approach to the work of publishing.

His writing spans poetry, daily reflection, grief companionship, and contemporary LGBTQ+ fiction. Mac Neal Publishing Group is the home he is building for those stories—and for voices with something meaningful to share.

WRITING BEYOND BORDERS.

THE STORY BEHIND THE PUBLISHER

A daily message.
A wider purpose.

Before the publishing house, there were the words: good-morning messages shared with the people in Malcolm’s life.

That practice grew into original quotes and affirmations, then into the Verses of Life books. Poetry opened one door. Daily reflection, companionship through difficult seasons, and contemporary fiction opened others.

His publishing vision brings those different forms together without asking them to be the same. Each imprint gives its stories a distinct identity, supported by the larger publishing group.

01

The writer’s perspective

Experience creating poetry, daily companions, and fiction shapes a publishing approach attentive to voice, intention, and the reader.

02

The business foundation

Malcolm studied finance at Michigan State University and earned a master’s degree in accounting at Wayne State University. His background includes financial services and regulation.

03

A broader conversation

English- and Spanish-language publishing, a Detroit identity, and life in Mexico City inform a literary outlook that makes room for more than one experience.
